Based on the results of monitoring of rural prices in several areas in Aceh Province in August 2020, the resulting NTP was 98.60 or an increase of 0.77 percent. This is because the index received by farmers (It) increased by 0.80 percent, while the index paid by farmers (Ib) increased by 0.03 percent.

The Price Index Received by Farmers (It) in August 2020 increased by 0.80 percent over the previous period. This is due to the increase in It in the horticultural sub-sector, smallholder plantation sub-sector, and fisheries sub-sector.

During August 2020, the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib) in Aceh Province increased by 0.03 percent over the previous period. The increase in Ib occurred in all sub-sectors other than horticulture.

Based on monitoring of household needs prices in several rural areas in Aceh Province during August 2020, there was an inflation of 0.06 percent in rural areas.

During August 2020, the price of GKP quality unhulled rice at the farm level fell by 1.53 percent or the value of Rp. 77 to 4,960 rupiah per kilogram. The decline in the price of GKP quality unhulled rice for the August period was caused in several districts to enter the harvest period, thus affecting the selling price of grain. In addition, the quality of the harvested grain is also not good. Likewise, at the level of grinding, the price of GKP unhulled rice decreased by 1.18 percent or Rp. 60 to 5,052 rupiah per kilogram.
